Plan first, confirm later
Your planner helps organise the week. Your diary records food you have eaten or deliberately entered for the day. Adding a meal to Gorivo’s planner does not count it as consumed.
This distinction matters when plans change. A recipe planned for Tuesday may move to Wednesday, or you may use different ingredients when you cook it.
Review the portion
Before logging a planned recipe, check the serving count and ingredient quantities. A recipe that makes four servings does not imply you ate a quarter if you portioned it differently.
A text-only meal idea such as “pasta dinner” does not contain enough information to calculate nutrition. Add the foods and amounts instead of treating an empty total as zero calories.
Keep shared planning separate from personal logging
Two people can share the same dinner plan and eat different portions. Use the shared plan to coordinate cooking and each person’s diary to record their own portion.
When collaborating in Gorivo, check whose planner you are viewing. Review the actual portion before adding food to your diary; collaboration does not mean every participant has eaten the same amount.
Make changes where they belong
Move or remove a meal in the planner if the schedule changes. Edit the diary if the logged amount changes. Update a saved recipe if you intend to make the revised version again. Keeping these actions distinct makes later totals easier to trust.
