Check your starting settings
Create your account and complete onboarding with your own goals, training experience and food preferences. Open Settings if you want to review those answers later. Fuel also has a settings control beside the calorie summary for nutrition targets and meal-planning preferences.
You can begin with a small amount of information. You do not need to upload progress photos or share a workout to start tracking.
Set up your first workout
On Train, choose a guided plan with Train or Train + Fuel, or create a saved workout. Add the exercises you intend to perform and check their order, sets and targets. Related routines can go in a workout group so they are easier to find.
Start a workout, record the actual values for each set, and tick it when complete. The set-logging guide covers the headings, effort ratings and finish step.
Add the food you eat
On Fuel, choose the correct date and meal. Search for a food or, with Fuel or Train + Fuel, scan its barcode, check the amount and add it to the diary. Product and portion checks matter even when the food was found automatically.
The food-logging guide is a good starting point. Use the meal planner for meals ahead of time; a planned meal is not automatically recorded as eaten.
Make progress records useful
On Progress, review your workout history or add a body measurement. A photo and note are optional. The measurement guide explains the entry and sharing controls.
If you use Apple Health or Health Connect, check the connection and permissions. Availability depends on what your devices and connected apps actually record.
Find the details when you need them
The help centre can be searched by task: try “recipe”, “shopping”, “RPE” or “notifications”. In a workout, tapping a column heading gives a short explanation of that field.
If something does not behave as expected, contact support with your phone model, app version and the steps you took. Never include your password or verification codes.
